If someone close to you has passed away, and has left behind a Will, then the Executor named in the Will must make sure the wishes in the Will are carried out.

To do this, an Executor will need to obtain a Grant of Probate. The Grant of Probate is a court order that enables the Executor to deal with the affairs of the deceased.  Once Grant of Probate is granted, the Executor is allowed to  access bank accounts and to distribute the assets to the lawful beneficiaries property according to the Will.
